Introductory Blog

A little about this blog:

This blog is all about the projects I am currently working on. On one of my other blogs that I will set up shorty I will post updates concerning my other side projects. This blog will contain updates regarding progress my my main project, everything from design choices and programming to error fixing and aesthetics. Provided I get the time I may post mini tutorials on how I went about constructing various functionality into my game, such as how I have programmed a system into my game that another programmer or designer may find useful. One could think of this as an online design document.

Ideas:

Currently I'm setting up the ground work for my next main project. I'm refining a few ideas I have, and soon after I will get cracking on the design. The main idea at the moment is to create a point and click adventure game, but I need to write a script for this and see if my artist is still interested in the project (for the record this is an old project that I didn't have the time to even start several years ago, it needs re-working any how). As well as this I need to refine the design slightly, I will defiantly have the character moving land and right on the screen, but will the player eventually move forwards and backwards in the environment? Also will the game be in 2D or 3D using sprites. I will defiantly be using the Unity3D game engine since that is was I am most comfortable with using and it works on everything.
Along with this I have to decide weather to use C# or javaScript. I will probably code in C# since I am learning this language at the moment, but I will create the prototype in javaScript to get things moving.

I also have to think about all of the features to include in the game such as, player actions, interactivity, audio, triggers and inventory systems. I will refine this in the next few days during next week.

Well that's it for now. Later in the week I will update my blog and this post with more ideas, log line and mood board for the setting and everything.
